Facts
Date: Saturday August 27th 2011.
Time: Registration opens 10:30, tournament starts at 11:15
Locatie: Hotel Mercure Amsterdam aan de Amstel, Joan Muyskenweg 10, 1096 CJ Amsterdam. Click here for directions. There is more than enough parking space at the hotel, you can park your car all day for € 20. Alternatively you can park your car for free 1 km south.
Catering: In the hotel bistro. Bringing your own food or drinks is not allowed.
REL: Competitive.
K-Value: 16.
Participation fee: EUR 17,50.

Format
Format: Legacy. Please bring your decklist on an A4 sheet of paper.
Structure: Some number of Swiss rounds, then we have a cut to Top 8. Then, the top 8 players will duke it out in a thrilling single-elimination session to see who gets to represent Europe in the US.

Format: NPH/MBS/SOM Booster Draft.
Format: M12/M12/M12 Booster Draft.
Fee: EUR 13
Start: When 8 players have registered.
Structure: Single elimination.
Prizes: 5/3/2/2 boosters.
Format: Legacy.
Fee: EUR 5
Start: When 8 players have registered.
Structure: Single elimination.
Prizes: 7/4/2/2 boosters.
Format: Commander.

Start: When 4 players feel like it!
Structure: Multiplayer games.

Prizes
Invite to the Star City Invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina, US!
The Star City Invitational is like a private Pro Tour. You can only qualify through winning an Invitational Qualifier, or through placing high in the Star City Open series. The Invitational has a $ 50,000 prize purse, and will take place on December 9 through 11 using Legacy and Standard. Click here for more information. The winner of this tournament will qualify for the Invitational.
Trip to the US
If more than 60 players register, the winner will be reimbursed an airline roundtrip ticket to Charlotte. If less than 60 players show up, or if the winner decides not to go to Charlotte, a cash prize (of lower value, depending on number of players) will be awarded instead. The winner will then be able to decide whether or not to use it for buying airfare. Circumstances such as a sudden increase in airline ticket costs might cause this prize to change. The winner is guaranteed a cash prize of US$ 250 (app. 175 euro).
Boosters
72 boosters of recent sets are guaranteed, of which 24 are for the losing finalist, 12 for each of the losing semifinalists and 6 for each of the losing quarter finalists. More players? More boosters. If you're more interested in Legacy singles, the booster prizes can be exchanged for Legacy staples at one of the present dealers.
