A brand new Dutch Modern Open series!
Last edition had 460+ unique players over 2 days, this edition we aim even bigger and made room for 252 players. We will host it at the amazing Fletcher Hotel Nieuwegein!

Tournaments & Date
On Saturday April 9th the second edition of the Dutch Legacy Open will be held - we are aiming for 125+ players, there is more than enough room to facilitate this. We wil also host a large Shadows over Innistrad sealed tournament. The Sealed event will start at 11.00, the Dutch Legacy Open at 11.30!
On Sunday April 10th, the second edition of the Dutch Modern Open Series will be held, the first edition had over 200 players participating! We aim at 225+ players this time. The tournament will start at 11.00 sharp. Doors open at 10 on both days.
All three tournaments will be REL competitive, and sanctioned. For the Sealed Event this will mean pool registration, but you will keep the pool you open!

The Dutch Open Series will be held at the Fletcher Hotel Nieuwegein (also used to host the Dutch National Championship). The stylish 4-star Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Nieuwegein-Utrecht is located close to the A2, just ten kilometres from the historic city centre of Utrecht. The hotel is easily accessible due to its favourable location at the A2, exit 9. It has every facility to guarantee a pleasant and comfortable stay, and there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. The recently renovated Nieuwegein City Plaza is five minutes away by car and has plenty of shops. Alternatively, go to the charming city of Utrecht for some extensive shopping, to enjoy local culture or have a drink at an outdoor café. Naturally, a visit to the popular Dom Tower with 465 steps and a height of 112 metres is a must. In addition, there are options for golf and wonderful cycling routes along the Lek river, or a visit to the historic city of Vianen with no fewer than 190 listed buildings. Website

Via our Dutch Open Series website you can buy tickets in pre-sale (€ 5,00 discount) . Capacity will be sufficient, but not unlimited, so if you plan on participating, get your tickets fast!

All above prizes are in the form of credit which can be spend at the Prize Wall at the Dutch Open Series! Credit is not useable to pay for entry fee and is not redeemable for cash. All the prizes are guaranteed no matter the attendance! We will make the Prize Wall worth while with high end foils, legacy & modern staples and sought after sealed product! Think P9, Fetches, Goyfs, Revised boosters & other crazy pimp stuff!
NK slots are only eligible for Dutch Residents!
Public Transport & Car
Easiest to get to the venue is from Utrecht Central Station, from there you take bus line 74 to Vianen, you get out at bus stop 'Poort van Nieuwegein' from there it's a 2 minutes walk to the hotel. If you come by car you can park at the hotel - parking ticket is only € 5,00 / day. use the address 'Buizderlaan 10, Nieuwegein'.
Vendors
Goat-Enterprise (Rudy Meijer) & Magic A.D. will be present with a large booth for all your singles, sealed product & Magic accessories. It's prohibited to sell M:TG related items on the floor if you are not a registered vendor, we will remove you from the event! It's only allowed to buy / sell from our registered/selected vendors.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the Dutch Open Series?
A large Magic: The Gathering tournament series focussed on the Dutch Magic Scene - supported by all the big stores in The Netherlands
(Pre)registration
At the tournament you don't need to register, we will pre-register you. Prior to the start of the tournament we will post lists of all the people registered, please check if you are properly named on those lists. Also make sure you have a copy of the order confirmation e-mail with you (digital or printout). In the case you are not on the list that you can show us the order confirmation.
Becoming a vendor
If you would like to become a vendor at the Dutch Open Series please contact us at hello [at] dutchopenseries [dot] nl.
Hosting a Trial
If you would like to host a Modern or Legacy trial for the Dutch Open Series please contact us at hello [at] dutchopenseries [dot] nl. Requests must be admitted before 29-02-2016.
Rules enforcement level
Rules enforcement level for each event is competitive, this means that players are expected to know their deck and know how the cards of their opponents work. If you have any problem please raise your hand and call 'Judge' and one of our judges will gladly help you.
Judge application
If you would like to judge on a Dutch Open Series please apply so on the Judgeapp.
Win-a-box lottery
By popular demand we will be giving out boxes among all pre-registered players. At 75, 150 and 250 sold tickets we will give out a boosterbox of the most recent set, among all pre-registered players!
Online pairings
We will be using www.mtgpairings.com next to regular paper pairings on the Dutch Open Series, so everybody can easily find his or her table.
Prizes
All communicated prizes are in the form of credit, you can use this credit to pick out (multiple) items from the Prize Wall at the Dutch Open Series.
Tickets at the venue
If the event is not sold out we will sell tickets on the venue, you will need to register at the Judge station, we only accept cash (EURO).
Side events
If there is enough space (the venue cap. is 252 players) we will host side events in the form of Modern, Legacy & Standard constructed, also Draft & Sealed.
Buy / Sell Magic cards
It's prohibited to sell M:TG related items on the floor if you are not a registered vendor, we will remove you from the event! It's only allowed to buy / sell from our registered/selected vendors.
What do I need to bring?
For the constructed events (Modern & Legacy) you will need to bring a deck with at least 60 cards Maindeck and 0-15 cards sideboard, the cards must be legal in the format that you play. If you play the sealed event we encourage you to bring atleast 50 sleeves, lands and a small deckbox to store your sealed deck in. Also you will need pen+paper to write down life totals for all events.
Food & Drinks
Fletcher Hotel has a nice selection of food & drinks at the location, they also have a large restuarant on the same floor as the event. It is prohibited to bring your own food & drinks to the event. A small bottle of water is ok to bring.
Parking
There are plenty of parking spots at the venue, day ticket is € 5,00.
Personal belongings
This goes without saying but please be careful with your belongings. At a large event like this there will always be individuals trying to steal your property. Be careful where you place your bag and don't let anything go unattended (for instance, don't place your bag behind your seat but below your seat or between your feet). The Dutch Open Series organisation nor the Fletcher Hotel Nieuwegein are to be held responsible for any missing and / or damaged objects.

Won a qualifier
If you won a Dutch Modern Open or Dutch Legacy Open qualifier you are entitled to 1 bye & free entrance, if you already bought a ticket we will reimburse you with € 25,- credit on the event. We will add you to the pre-registered players, you will need to check on the day itself if you are on the list. If not please report to the judge station.
